Sáenz’s writing is beautiful because it’s so simple and to the point. When someone says an author’s writing is “beautiful,” the writing is often flowery (not necessarily a bad thing) or intricate.

Even as an adult reading this, I could remember exactly how it felt to be a teenager, and I would have loved to have had this book to read back then.
